Jennifer’s relationship with God has changed in the last few years. In her early teenage years, she was rather indifferent towards her faith. But recently, she has found God’s love and support to be of great help in difficult times, especially when she moved to a different country. “I look at our relationship in a more adult way now,” she says. “I got to learn how important it is that there’s someone who accepts you and is always there for you.”
In a similar way, Jennifer feels very much at home in the English community of Parochie Maria. “The community is very welcoming. It feels like a family from the moment you join. That is special to me, since I’ve also experienced people being not to keen on having newcomers. But here, there’s people from all over the world and they respect everyone’s opinions and personal circumstances.”
So if you never have been to church before and think about going, Jennifer has a message for you: “This is a perfect community and church to give a first church visit a try. We have plenty of people who are very knowledgeable about the catholic faith and everyone is supportive in the religious and personal sense of the word.”
